Congestive heart failure or cardiac arrhythmia due to the overusage of prescription drugs in a period where drug abuse was being preached in schools and was all over the t.v. Rehab centers was being set up to treat people and he refused help when it was very obvious he was in deep trouble. Closest people to him knew it and the same people he chose to ahve in his circle of trust, he did not trust them enough to get help!!!!!!!!!!!

Only Grammy's he ever won was for his religious songs.
